Vegetable Gardeners

 

The food bank can accept fresh vegetables from local gardeners.

Please consider planting extra tomatoes and beans this year.  Those in need will enjoy the fruits of your harvest!

The Fredericksburg Area Food Bank is in need of food!!

The Fredericksburg Area Food Bank distributes more than 2.5 million pounds food and grocery products every year to more than 90 food pantries and other food assistance organizations in the Fredericksburg area, including Stafford, Spotsylvania, Caroline, and King George. These agencies directly feed thousands of hungry families throughout the region.

This time of year is particularly difficult for those who work seasonal jobs or struggle to pay heating bills. The food bank partners with many organizations that provide food assistance to people in many different types of crises situations; homelessness, unemployment, seasonal workers, the sick and uninsured, children in crises, low-income senior citizens.

Non-perishable donations are needed. Especially needed are canned vegetables and fruits, soups, stews, macaroni and cheese or other box dinners, tuna, peanut butter, canned meats, pasta and pasta sauces, jelly and jam, cereals, stuffing mix, rice, puddings.

Please bring all donations to the food bank located at 3631 Lee Hill Drive, Fredericksburg, VA 22408.

Hours: Donations are accepted Monday thru Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Wednesdays, 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
