The FRFB is happy to welcome Eric Webber, Director of Logistics and Operational Processes. This is a new senior management position that will help integrate operational activities as we expand operations into two warehouses. Eric previously worked five years in the Operations Department for FeedMore, the Feeding America food bank that serves the Richmond area.

Eric was in the US Army in the intelligence field for 11 years and then spent another 11 years in the trucking field and 3 years in the Nike supply chain. At FeedMore, Eric was the Logistics Manager so running the warehouse and transportation are similar in his new position. However, Eric shares that being responsible for the facilities, as well as food sourcing, is a new challenge here at the FRFB.

Eric says that his short-term goal is to "see where improvements can be made and where we can realize efficiencies." Long term, Eric will be working to meet the goals outlined in the FRFB's new strategic plan. Eric says, "They say 'If you've seen one food bank, you've seen one food bank,' That's very true. Each food bank has a unique neighbor-base and product donor opportunities. The biggest difference here versus FeedMore is the number of direct distributions that the FRFB does. Between mobiles and popups, it's approximately twice the amount. That's a great way to ensure our inventory turns timely and really benefits our local neighbors."

Eric is a native Oregonian with three adult children and one grandson. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, tennis, pickleball, golf, and genealogy.
