Great Things Come in Large Trailers

On Tuesday evening, a beautiful 2005 refurbished 48’ long dual refrigeration semi-truck trailer donated by McLane Mid-Atlantic was transported to the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank (FRFB) courtesy of Michaels Towing. FRFB Board members Charles Freeman, Jr., and Steve Rollins, Sr., of McLane Mid-Atlantic worked together to make this donation possible. Our friends at Michaels Towing made it happen.

According to FRFB warehouse manager, Richard Kersey, “This will be a big help. We really need the refrigeration space especially with the need for more food distribution during the summer months.” This dual temperature semi-trailer will allow the FRFB to hold both refrigerated and frozen food in the same safe, climate controlled space which according to Steve Rollins, Sr., “will make it easier and cost efficient to collect and distribute more fresh food.”
