Fight Hunger. Spark Change.

Everyone needs nutritious food to thrive, and in every community in America, people are working hard to provide for themselves and their families. Yet in 2022, 44 million people - 1 in 7 - faced food insecurity in the U.S. Those are the highest numbers in a decade, underscoring the need for more charitable food assistance in the Central Rappahannock River Region and beyond.

Now, for the 11th straight year, all US Walmart stores and Sam's Clubs are launching Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign to provide people facing hunger with access to the food and resources they say they need to thrive. Since its inception in 2014, the campaign has generated over $186 million and helped secure nearly 1.9 billion meals* for the Feeding America® network of local food banks.

The campaign will take place from April 1 to April 29. All funds raised from this campaign stay local. There are 4 ways customers can support the campaign and one new feature this year.

• Product Purchase: Each participating item purchased in-store and online at Walmart will unlock a donation equivalent to one meal secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks from each supplier. 1 item = 1 meal ($0.10) up to each supplier's maximum donation. 100% of funds raised through in-store purchases will benefit local member food banks. Donations will be localized based on where each item is sold.
• The 18 participating suppliers for Walmart include: BIMBO Bakeries; BodyArmor; Bush Brothers & Company; Campbell Soup Company; The Clorox Company; The Coca-Cola Company; fairlife, LLC; Frito-Lay North America, Inc; General Mills; Iovate Health Sciences; Lactalis; Kellogg’s, Keurig Dr Pepper; Kraft Heinz; Monster Energy; Post Consumer Brands; Simply Good Foods; Unilever
• Register Giving: Customers will have the option to give at check-out. Customers can round up their purchase give $1, $5, or any amount they choose. Customers can also round up on Walmart.com and the Walmart app.
• Online Donation Page: Customers can give online through an online donation page. The donor can give to the food bank serving their billing zip code or the Feeding America National Office. www.FeedingAmerica.org/Walmart
