Capital One Takes Over FRFB Warehouse

Did you know that it takes over 20,000 volunteer hours each year to run our programs and manage our warehouse? We are so grateful for our corporate volunteers. On July 10th, over 40 Capital One employees poured into the FRFB warehouse to sort, stack, clean, and

work in our garden. Meredith Fuchs, Chief Counsel/Regulatory & Senior VP, says that “as a Virginia-based company, it is important to support the community where we live and work.“ Emilio Revilla, Managing Vice President, shares, “we are all so fortunate. We have good jobs and are financially stable. Sharing our time and volunteering are a way of showing that we appreciate our blessings.” As Maria Thurman, Legal Manager, was packaging up canned goods for our partner agency pantries she shared that volunteering is beneficial to both the food bank and Capital One. “We are team building while fulfilling

a need in the community.” If your company is interested in a volunteer experience at the FRFB, please contact Carey Sealy at or click on the “Get Involved” tab on our homepage.
