$10,000 to Support Produce Program

The Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the #MorganStanleyFoundation to purchase new equipment to improve efficiency in the warehouse.

According to the FRFB Agency & Programs Director, Mishelle Krogstad, "This grant will allow us to make improvements in how produce is handled and distributed. This will result in more fresh, nutrient-dense produce we are able to provide to this in need in our community through our partner agency pantries, school age programs and our senior feeding program, Food For Life."

The food bank serves as the charitable food distribution center for 69 non-profit and faith-based organizations throughout Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, Caroline, the City of Fredericksburg, and Locust Grove.

Oya Oliver, President & CEO, stated "Healthy food is important to create a strong, healthy community. We are so thankful to Morgan Stanley for this opportunity to modernize our warehouse operations and provide additional fresh produce for our families."
