What is the Kids on the Go program?
Kids on the Go is a program of the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank which provides children attending summer school or other summer enrichment programs with a healthy prepared meal. Kids on the Go helps to alleviate childhood hunger by bridging the hunger gap when a reliable source of food may not be available. Children 18 years of age and younger are welcome to receive a free, freshly prepared, well-balanced meal at any of our sponsored sites.
COVID-19 Changes to Kids on the Go
Children do not have to remain on-site to receive meals. All children 18 years of age and younger will be provided with nutritious, fun to eat foods to take home with them. We will also provide family food boxes to each family.

Want to help the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank end summer hunger?
Become a summer feeding site! Summer feeding sites are places in the community where kids can receive nutritious meals in a safe, supervised environment. Sites can be located in schools, churches, community centers -- anywhere kids congregate.
As a summer feeding site you will:
Feed and Supervise kids
Accurately count and record meals served
Conduct outreach to draw kids to sites
